The U.S.A. Home Sprinkler Coalition is an association of bodies and companies committed to the improved development and uptake of domestic sprinkler systems in the home. Through their ongoing work and the commitment of councils to continue to legislate domestic sprinkler systems in the U.S.A., the market awareness of such products in the U.S.A. is high. The following is an overview of analysis conducted by the U.S.A. Home Sprinkler Coalition who found through their survey that:

  • 45% say a sprinklered home is more desirable than a non sprinklered home
  • 63% of homeowners are aware fire sprinklers are available for home use
  • A recent poll of property and casualty insurers in the US showed that discounts as high as 35% for home insurance are offered for homes with sprinklers
  • Over two-thirds (69 percent) of U.S. homeowners say having a fire sprinkler system installed increases a home’s value
  • 38% of homeowners say they would be more likely to purchase a new home with sprinklers than withot
  • Homebuilders who offer fire sprinklers are seen by homeowners as being “safety concerned” (70%), “innovative” (52%) and “caring” (51%)
