Stan Mania – Executive Chairman

Stan Mania is a founder and the Executive Chairman of Firecat Sprinkler Systems. Stan and his fellow directors founded Firecat to create a vehicle to further their ambition to develop a domestic fire sprinkler system based on the utilisation of traditional plumbing technology.

Stan has also been the founder, manager and visionary of the Mania National Group since its formation in 1982. The Mania National Group has operated with considerable success since inception and is now multimillion dollar, multinational group. One of the key assets of the Group is its NATA approved laboratory which has been vital in the product development of the innovative Firecat Domestic Sprinkler System.

A doyen of the plumbing industry in Australia through his Mania National business, Stan’s approach to Firecat has been forward thinking, creative and innovative. Through Stan’s experience in the plumbing industry, he and the directors have been able to develop the Firecat system as an award winning product innovation in fire safety.

David O’Brien – Executive Director (TIFireE)

David O’Brien is a fire industry business professional that has developed a career at the forefront of fire safety in Australia. With a career that has spanned extensive operational experience in aviation management for Qantas, through to his specialisation and passion for the fire safety service delivery, David is committed to bringing about positive change in the industry and ensuring continuous improvement.

David’s fire industry career commenced on the front line of fire safety and then developed into a senior fire fighter with eight years experience at forefront of NSW Fire Brigades. Since these humble, yet important beginnings, David has now emerged as a recognised fire industry professional with sound negotiation and business leadership skills who has become an innovator in emergency management service delivery and fire safety improvement. 

As an Executive Director of Firecat, David’s role is pivotal in ensuring the ongoing industry success for the business. David’s recognition by the fire industry has been established though his extensive leadership most notably focussing on business liaison with State and Federal Government Ministers. David is a Member of the NSW Fire Investigators Association and Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers - Technician Grade.

John Olsen – Director / Company Secretary

John Olsen is also a founding Director of Firecat Sprinkler Systems in addition to his executive role as company secretary of the group. John is a Certified Practicing Accountant operating a successful accounting practice in Western Australia; John K Olsen CPA and Associates.

In addition to his current practice dealing with small to medium enterprises, John is also a successful entrepreneur that throughout his career has owned and operated numerous businesses spanning industry sectors including accommodation, hospitality, retail, fuel and transport.

John brings a comprehensive level of commercial expertise to Firecat through his accounting and financial management prowess and commercial experience across numerous industry sectors.
